Our Story

Monaghan Baptist Church was founded in 1901 by a group of believers in Monaghan Mill Village. Over the years, the church grew to become a vital part of the community. However, in our near history, our church faced several challenges leading us to link arms with the Calvary Family of Churches out of Englewood, Colorado as a church replant. Today, we are known as Calvary Church Greenville. With a renewed faith, we are fully trusting in God’s power to revive us as we seek to radically love on our community, build an authentic love for one another, sit under Gospel-centered preaching, and equip Christ-followers for the work of ministry and missions. In so doing, we trust that God, through His power alone, will allow us to “Make Jesus Non-Ignorable in Greenville and to the Ends of the earth.”
